|BROWNVILLE - Everett "Red" McLaughlin, 82, passed on September 8, 2021.|
Born in Princeton, Maine, his family moved to Brownville in 1945. From a young age Red loved hunting, fishing and automobiles. He took his mechanical skills to the B & A Railroad, where he worked as a diesel mechanic for many years until his retirement. He lived out his years at Ebeemee, with his surviving wife, Shirley, and continued to enjoy the life they loved. High school sweethearts they married in 1958, soon after three daughters were born.
He was predeceased by daughter, Darlene Thibodeau. He is survived by daughters, Susan Mulherin and husband, Bill, Kelley Cogar and husband, Chris; son-in-law, Rob Thibodeau; grandchildren, Carrie, Courtney, Melissa, Michelle and Melissa Thibodeau; several great-grandchildren that he loved dearly, along with several nieces and nephews. Our dad had a special neighbor and dear friend, Mike Carey, who always looked after him, we are grateful to you Mike.
A special thank you to C.A. Dean Memorial Hospital in Greenville, for the compassion they shown through this difficult time. Our dad always had a sense of humor and a welcoming smile. He will be forever missed and loved by all who knew him.
