Roland F. Royal

MILO - Roland F. Royal, 84, passed away peacefully in Charleston on January 31, 2021. He was born in Milo on October 20, 1936, to Carroll E. and Viola (Drinkwater) Royal.
Throughout his life he worked for the Town of Milo at the cemetery and the Milo Water District, retiring from the Dexter Shoe Company. He spent a lot of time with his family through the years. He loved getting together with his wife and brothers-in-law and listening to them play their guitars and sing. Those were some of the happiest times in his life. He also loved hunting and fishing and enjoyed watching NASCAR, football and old westerns.
He was predeceased by his parents, Carroll and Viola Royal; sisters, Alice Dawson, Fern Russell, Dorothy (Dot) Heath, and Leona Hersey; brothers, Merle Royal, Darrell (Bob) Royal, and Roger Royal; wife, Georgia Royal; and daughter, Robin Fowle. He is survived by his sisters, Carolyn Young and Mary Sibley, both of Bangor; brother, Clayton Royal of Dexter; his daughter, Deborah Royal Flagg and fiancé, Wesley Stinson II, of Charleston and their children, Dylan Flagg, Wesley Stinson III and wife, Hilary, Lois Day and husband, Tyler, and their children, Emma and Isabella, and Colby Stinson; his daughter, Ann Royal Witham and her son, Jeffery Witham Jr. of Charleston; grandson, Brandon Fowle and wife, Alicia, and great-grandson, Liam Fowle, of Glenburn; grandson, Adam Fowle and fiancée, Hailey Shaw, and great-grandchildren, Isaiah Shields and Adam Fowle Jr., of Mercer; and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind a very special friend, Jackie Willinski of Valdosta, GA; special relations, Richard Flagg of Milo, Jeffery Fowle of Wiscasett, Goldie Stinson of Chaleston, and his fur baby, Gizmo, whom he adored.
There will be a graveside service at Evergreen Cemetery in Milo at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of Kiley Foley Funeral Home in Brewer, ME.
