Ramona S. Hamlin

SEBEC - Ramona S. Hamlin, 91, wife of the late William Barton Hamlin, passed away February 14, 2018, at Mayo Regional Hospital, Dover-Foxcroft. She was born December 21, 1926, in Milo, the daughter of Myron S. and Blanche L. (Livermore) Smart.
Ramona was a graduate of Milo High School. She served as the Postmaster for more than 30 years for the town of Sebec. Ramona was a faithful member of the Sebec Village Community Christian Church and active in the local church circle.
She is survived by three sons, Mahlon of Ohio, Marshall of Auburn, and Scott of New Hampshire; and eight grandchildren, Amy Morgan, Sheri Phillips, Crystal Hamlin, Heather Peel, Chad Hamlin, Marie Deniz, Elizabeth Bemis and Donna Govostes. In addition to her loving husband, Ramona was predeceased by three brothers, Forest, Franklin, and Ramon Smart.
Visitations for family and friends will be held 5-7 p.m. February 16, 2018, at Lary Funeral Home, Milo, where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. February 17, with the Rev. Bea Violette officiating. Burial will be in the family lot at Sebec Village Cemetery in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sebec Village Community Christian Church, 734 Sebec Village Road, Sebec, ME 04481.
