PAYSON, UTAH - Margaret Edna Witham Ingerson, age 89, passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2015, in Payson, Utah. She was born April 21, 1926, in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine. She was the first child of Alfred Winfield Witham and Mildred Letitia Lyford. She married David Truman Ingerson on April 26, 1947. They lived in Maine, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire prior to moving to Utah in 1994 to be closer to family.

In 1945, Margaret graduated from Milo High School in Milo, Maine. Margaret joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in 1957, in Bangor, Maine. She was very active in the church and held numerous positions, including Relief Society president. In the words of her late husband, Dave, she was a good mother, a good wife, and a good church-goer. Margaret was a small business owner, an optometrists assistant, and most of all a homemaker. She loved reading, crocheting, and baking (she made the most delicious bread!). Margaret was in her mid-forties when she got her drivers license. She got her first computer late in life as well and mastered it. She especially liked playing computer games, corresponding with family and friends through email, and surfing the web. Margaret enjoyed watching sports on TV and cheering for her favorite teams. She loved making and sending cards to family and friends. In 1985, Margaret had her first of many heart surgeries and surprised everyone, including herself, by surviving for another thirty years.
