Robert W. Pray

Robert W. Pray, 75, passed away peacefully at a hospital in Machias, surrounded by his family, on Dec. 22, 2013. He was born May 9, 1938, in Milo, the son of Frank E. and Ruby G. (Darey) Pray.

He was an auto glazier for many years with Portland Glass, Soule Glass, and became self employed in his own glass company. He also worked in security and as a newspaper carrier for Bangor Daily News. Robert enjoyed camping with family and friends; he also loved hunting and fishing with his children. He was known for his comical sense of humor and quick wit, especially with his wife, Barbara.

Robert was predeceased by his loving wife of 48 years, Barbara E. Pray; and son-in-law, Bartt "Jake" Smith. He is survived by his five children, Deborah Smith of Buxton, Joanne Gallant and her husband, Thomas, of Buxton, Frank Pray and his fiancée, Stacey Raymond, of Biddeford, Daniel Pray and his fiancée, Amy Thompson, of Addison, and Bobbi-Dee Floyd and husband, Adam, of Addison. Robert is also survived by nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; his sister, Betty Smart and her husband, Frank, of Scarborough; many nieces and nephews; and his dog, Beauford.

A graveside funeral service will be conducted in the family lot at Evergreen Cemetery, Milo, in the spring. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home, Milo. Condolences and memories may be expressed at
