|LAGRANGE - Geraldine Beryl Trafton, 91, went home to with her Lord and Savior and those who have gone before, Aug. 19, 2013, at a Bangor nursing facility. She was born April 19, 1922, in Bradford, the daughter of Harold H. and Gwendolyn G. (Chase) Brooks.|
Geraldine and her husband ran several businesses, among them was Trafton's General Store in Bradford where they made many friends. Her great joy was her family and she loved to cook and feed people. Geraldine's home was the place where the family gathered. She was a member of the LaGrange Community Baptist Church and she was always interested in the Lord's work there and other efforts to point people to her Savior.
Geraldine is survived by her daughter, Sharron Blodgett and her husband, Gerald; her son, Harold Trafton and his wife, Paulette; grandchildren, Laura Lewis and her husband, David, and their daughter, Rachael, Shane Brown and his children, Benjamin and Hannah Brown, Heidi Lewis and her husband, John, and their daughter, Sarah Kneeland and her husband, Anthony, and their children, Austin and Tyson Kneeland, and Tabitha Vance and her husband, Chad, and their children, Kiera and Charlotte Vance; a sister-in-law, Corrine Trafton; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Ernest; her beloved grandson, Trever Trafton; her only sister, Alice Harper; her son-in-law, Charles Brown; and many special brothers and sisters-in-laws.
The family wishes to thank all of those that took special care of Geraldine during her difficult days.
Friends and family are invited to call from 2 p.m. until time of memorial service 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25, at LaGrange Community Baptist Church, with Pastor Jonathan Ray officiating. A committal service will be following the memorial service at Williams Cemetery in Bradford. After the committal service there will be a time of fellowship and food at Laura and David Lewis' home, 641 Hudson Road, Corinth. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice . Arrangements are in the care of Lary Funeral Home, Milo.
