Ivis Marie Campbell

STEUBEN AND MILO - Ivis Marie (Cowing) Campbell, 84, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ April 21, 2013. She was born May 2, 1928, in LaGrange, the fifth of seven children to C. Earl and Frances (Hanscom) Cowing.

Ivis married Walter E. Campbell in 1945 and lived in Milo for 41 years. She participated in Garden Club, Neighborhood Christmas Club, Cooperative Extension and other civic groups. In 1986 they retired to Steuben and Golden Gate, Fla.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Walter; sisters, Helen McDonald and Ada Croger; brothers, Laurence who was an infant and Shirley; and son-in-law, Arnold MacKenney. Ivis is survived and will be greatly missed by cherished sister, Beryle MacLaughlin; brother, Leigh and wife, Samol; daughters, Sharon MacKenney, Donna London and husband, Don, and Joan Pinkham and husband, Elwood; grandchildren, Paula, Angela, Diane, Daniel, Amber and Jody; and seven great-grandchildren. Special thanks to the staff at Narraguagus Bay Healthcare Facility for the loving care you have provided during Ivis' long illness.

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, April 26, at Milo Cemetery with Pastor Arthur Cotton officiating. A memorial celebration of Ivis' life will be held later at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Steuben Union Church, P.O. Box 32, Steuben, ME 04680, where Ivis was a member and served as missionary secretary for many years. Arrangements made by Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Homes, Milbridge.
