MILO - Clarence Alvin Keith 67, died early Sunday, May 20, 2012. Clarence was born Nov. 12, 1944 in Chesterfield County, S.C. Clarence Keith was raised in Society Hill, S.C. He was drafted into the U.S. Army and served at various bases including a tour in Alaska. Upon leaving the Army, he entered the field of law enforcement serving the communities of Hartsville, S.C., Culpeper, Va., and more than 25 years with Vienna (Va.) Police Department. Lieutenant Keith retired from the Vienna Police Department in 1998. The Town of Vienna proclaimed Jan. 1, 1998 as "Lt. Clarence Keith Day." Clarence and Susan Keith were married July 6, 1976, in Vienna, Va., and for the past 10 years had resided in Milo. Clarence was a master Mason at Piscataquis Lodge No. 44 AF & AM. Clarence is survived by his wife, Susan Keith of Milo; sons and daughters-in-law, John and Kathy Keith of Charlotte, N.C., Charlie Keith of Warrenton, Va., and Jason and Anitra Keith of San Diego; daughter and son-in-law, David and Laura Rosania of Milo; grandchildren, Jack Keith, Preston Baldwin, Abbygayle Keith, Garrett and Kate Rosania, Aleesa Keith and soon-to-be Baby Keith Rosania; mother, Geneva Steed of Hartsville, S.C. He was predeceased by his father, Clarence M. Keith; brothers, Tom Keith and Randy Keith; and stepsister, Betty Jean James. Memorial service to be held 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, at American Legion, Milo. Graveside service will be held Saturday, May 21, in Chesterfield County, S.C.
