Leo Gray

LAKEVIEW PLANTATION - Leo Franklin Gray passed away peacefully Aug. 17, 2011, at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. Leo was born in Milo, the son of Alfred Sr. and Beatrice (Stone) Gray. Leo served his country in the U.S. Army. After working many years at PCI, Brownville, Leo and is wife, Sandra, started S&L Auto Parts. He was well known in the community. He had a quick smile and was willing to lend a helping hand to all. Leo enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He took great pride in his home that he built and his yard he spent many hours landscaping. Leo is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Sandra (Bryant) Gray; two sons, Lance Gray of Milo and Wade Gray and his companion, Paula Vigue, of Brownville Junction; a daughter, Rona Ames and Richard Ames of Sebec; four grandchildren, Eric Gray and his companion, Jessica Yoakum, Megan Gray and her companion, Danny Tody, Leandra Ames and Katie Ames and her companion, Alan Perkins; three great-grandchildren, Macee Perkins, Alfred Perkins and Rosemary Gray; a brother, Alfred Gray Jr. three sisters, Teresa Pierce, Virginia Grant and Violet Brown; many nieces and nephews; a special nephew, Preston Early; friend, Jack Webb, who was like a son to him; and a loving German shepherd, Akira. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was predeceased by a brother, George Gray; and his sister, Beatrice "Betty" Lancaster. At Leo's request, there will be no services. Donations may be made in his name to American Cancer Society .
