MILO - Evelyn W. Nason, 87, wife of the late Tennyson E. Nason, died March 30, 2010, at a Millinocket hospital. She was born July 17, 1922, in Milo, the daughter of Manley and Mabel (Foster) Wood. She was a graduate of Milo High School and Eastern Maine School of Nursing. Evelyn worked for two years in the Midwest and then in the Millinocket and Milo areas. She was a member of Aldworth Chapter No. 39 OES, Milo Garden Club, and Milo Nurses Guild. Evelyn was a devoted wife and loving mother to her children, and a caring person to her grandchildren. She and her husband enjoyed spending time with family and friends at their camp on Sebec Lake. Evelyn was predeceased by her loving husband, Tennyson in 2000. She is survived by a daughter, Ellen Helstrom and her husband, Sterling, of Presque Isle; a son, David Nason and his wife, Joyce, of Millinocket; four grandchildren, Christopher Helstrom and his wife, Caitlin, Lisa Helstrom, Justin Nason, and Joshua Nason and his wife, Kaci; and great-grandsons, Matthew and Thomas Nason. Friends are invited to call noon until time of funeral service 1 p.m. Friday, April 2, at Lary Funeral Home, Milo, with the Rev. Michele St. Cyr officiating.
