BROWNVILLE JCT. - Noella I. Farrar, 79, wife of Kendall V. Farrar, died Nov. 27, 2009, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Dec. 25, 1929, in Lac Megantic, Quebec, the daughter of William and Rose (DesLages) Edwards. Noella was a member of Echo Chapter No. 98 Order of the Eastern Star and Brownville Junction United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, Kendall of Brownville Junction; a daughter, Natalie Hamlin and her husband, Mark, of Dover-Foxcroft; two very special grandchildren, Claire Hamlin and Matthew Hamlin, both of Dover-Foxcroft; two brothers, Omer "Bud" Edwards and Jacques Edwards, both of Lac Megantic, Quebec; two sisters, Helene Roy of Montreal and Theresa York of Milo; eight sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Michelle Edwards of Lac Megantic, Quebec, Charles Farrar of Plymouth, Calvin Ireland of Lincoln, Leon Farrar and wife, Barbara, Ralph Farrar, Shirley Farrar, Bert Farrar and wife, Susan, and Walter Farrar and wife, Deanna, all of Brownville; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two sisters, Anita Carlson and Jeanine Poser; three brothers, Marcel Edwards, Claude Edwards and Lawrence "Sonny" Edwards; eight brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Romeo Roy, Roland York, Ernest Carlson, Pierette Edwards, Lucille Ireland, Vaughn Farrar, and Murdoch and Carolyn MacDonald. A graveside memorial service will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2, in the family lot at Pine Tree Cemetery, Brownville Junction, with the Rev. Leshy Paynter officiating. After the service friends and family are invited to share fellowship and refreshments at Brownville Junction United Methodist Church.
