Mark A Demers

MILO - Mark A. Demers, 57, passed away Oct. 26, 2009, with his loving wife, Robin, at his side, at a Bangor hospital after a long illness. He was born Jan. 20, 1952, in Dover-Foxcroft, the son of Conrad and Gertrude (Ogden) Demers. Mark attended school in Milo and had most recently been employed by William London & Son, Inc. He was a dedicated member of Milo Fire Department for 22 years, serving as assistant chief, training and prevention officer and working with the junior firefighters. He had many hobbies and interests, was a hard worker and dedicated husband, father and friend. His love and compassion for children was never-ending. In addition to his parents, Mark is survived by his wife of nine years, Robin (Cannon) Demers; three sons, Kenneth Demers of Milo, Matthew Demers and his wife, Monica, of Sebec, and Kevin Demers of West Virginia; two stepdaughters, Nicole Ballard of Bangor and Caitlin Ballard of Milo; four grandchildren, one great-grandchild, two sisters, two brothers, and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. A service to honor Mark's life will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, at United Baptist Church, Milo. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
