MILO - Dean F. Henderson, 80, husband of Helen (Flint) Grant Henderson, died unexpectedly June 17, 2009, at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital. He was born June 5, 1929, in Milo, the son of Lawrence and Maude (Dean) Henderson. Dean served with the U.S. Army in Korea. He was sexton of Evergreen Cemetery, Milo, for 33 years. His care and devotion to the cemetery has always been evident and his knowledge, pride and dedication to the maintenance was second to none. He is survived by his wife, Helen of Brownville; a stepson, Chad Grant and his wife, Crystal and their two daughters, Macee Jean and Mylee Jae, of Orneville; a stepdaughter, Lisa (Grant) MacDonald and her two children, Cote Drake and Hillary MacDonald, of LaGrange; and a stepdaughter-in-law, Lisa Grant and her sons, Keith and Hunter, of Milo. He also leaves special cousins, Roberta and Liston Lewis of Brownville; a special aunt, Florence Graham of Ashland; special uncle, Gene Picard of Mars Hill; brothers-in-law, Wayne Flint and his wife, Mary, of Portage, and Robert Flint Jr. and his wife, Irene, of Portage; sister-in-law, Sandra Rouse of Veazie; brother-in-law, Charles Flint of Presque Isle; many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a stepson, Jason Grant, in 2006. He will be sadly missed by his beloved chocolate lab, Molly. Friends are invited to call 5-8 p.m. Friday, June 19, at Lary Funeral Home, Milo, where funeral services will be conducted 3:30 p.m. Saturday, June 20, with the Rev. Rudy Homchuck officiating.
