Carol Ann Cole

SEBEC - Carol Ann (Rideout) Cole, 67, wife of the late Emery O. Cole, died May 8, 2009, surrounded by family and friends, at home, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. She was born March 26, 1942, in Milo, daughter of Llewellyn and Hope (Buzzell) Rideout. Carol and Emery operated Rainbow Acres farm, Sebec. She served as Sebec Town Clerk and as an active member of Rainbows for many years. Carol was a big fan of NASCAR and country music. She loved spending time with her family and many friends. She was also one of the Three Musketeers for 57 years. Carol enjoyed attending Family Worship Center. She will be missed by her daughter, Cindy Brown and husband, David; and three grandchildren, Randy, Nicole and Casey Briggs, all of Sebec. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 45 years, Emery; her mother and father; her daughter, Beverly Cole; and grandson, Adam Brown. Carol was loved by many close family members and special friends. A celebration of Carol's life will be held Tuesday, May 12, with visiting noon-2 p.m. at Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft. A graveside service will be conducted 3 p.m. at Sebec Corner Cemetery with Pastor Jim Colley officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to CancerCare of Maine, 417 State St., Bangor, ME 04401. Messages of condolence and memories may be expressed at "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away." I tried to make memories for you; I got the checkered flag and crossed the finish line. Bye-bye, see you on the other side!
