DOVER-FOXCROFT - Anita H. Edgerly, 76, wife of Malcolm Edgerly, died peacefully May 4, 2009, at a Bangor hospital. She was born March 6, 1933, in Orneville, the daughter of Orrin and Beatrice (Hoxie) Lyford. She had a deep faith in God and loved her family. Her favorite thing was spending time with her great-grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 19 years, Malcolm of Dover-Foxcroft; two sisters, Diana Burton and husband, Sonny, of Milo, and Glenice Blethen of Texas; a brother, Roland Lyford of Milo; five children, Patricia Northup of Dover-Foxcroft, Edith Graves of Levant, Cheryl Gray and her husband, Melvin, of Dover-Foxcroft, Michael Lancaster and his wife, Marcia, of Corinth, and John Royal and his wife, Barbara, of Ellsworth; 13 grandchildren and their spouses; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Artis; a brother, Donald; a son-in-law, Clyde Graves; and a grandson, Shane Lancaster. Friends are invited to call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, at Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft. A graveside funeral service will be conducted 10 a.m. Thursday, May 7, in the family lot at South Dover Cemetery.
