William A. Boyce Jr.

HOLDEN - William A. Boyce Jr., 84, died Sunday, March 15, 2009, at a Bangor health care facility. He was born March 19, 1924, in Milo, the son of William and Madlene (Plurd) Boyce. William was stationed in Europe during World War II as an airplane mechanic, and was very proud of his time spent repairing fighter planes and serving his country. He retired from Eastern Fine Paper Co., Brewer, after 50 years of service and was a member of Brewer VFW Post No. 4917. William is survived by his son, Michael Danforth and his wife, Patricia, of Holden; brothers, Edward Boyce and his wife, Anna, of Bangor and Raymond Boyce of Oklahoma; grandchildren, Dawn King, Danielle Miller and Ryan Danforth; great-grandchildren, Madison, Dominic, Michaela and Nicholas; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, William was predeceased by his loving wife, Dorothy (Peters) Boyce; and brothers, Herbert Decker, Philip Boyce and Robert Boyce. A graveside service will be held in the spring at Harts Corner Cemetery, Holden.
