EBEEME - Ronald W. Boobar Sr., 66, died unexpectedly March 1, 2009, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Feb. 2, 1943, in Milo, the son of Daniel and Arlene (Heal) Boobar. He worked for Canadian Pacific Railroad as a brakeman and then retired in 1994 from Great Northern Paper Co., Millinocket, where he had worked for more than 30 years. He loved living at his camp on Ebeeme Lake. He enjoyed his daily meetings with the "Liar's Club," of which he was president. He is survived by a son, Ronnie Boobar of Warren; three daughters, Susie Glidden and her husband, Kevin, of Milo, Traci Hartmann and her husband, Fred, of Ebeeme, and Cathy Mushero and her husband, Travis, of Lincoln; nine grandchildren whom he loved very much, Joshua D. Bridges of Massachusetts, Brian, Chris, and Becca Glidden of Milo, Curtis Hartmann of Ebeeme, Kayla, Travis Jr., Elizabeth and Tristan Mushero of Lincoln; a brother, Waverly Boobar and his wife, Renie, of Howland; and two sisters, Ivolene Clapp of Maxfield and Marsha Boobar of Orono. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends, including special friends, Bill and Judy London, Bill Kuhn and Bob Day; and his dog, Thunder. He was predeceased by five brothers, Reginald, Shirley, Lawrence, Earl and Philip. At his request, there will be no funeral services.
