Beulah Nason Ames

SEBEC VILLAGE - Beulah Nason Ames, 69, died Friday, Jan. 18, 2008, of pancreatic cancer, at Mayo Regional Hospital, Dover-Foxcroft. She was born June 2, 1938, in Bowerbank, the daughter of Albert and Stella (Cuthbertson) Nason. Beulah was a homemaker. She enjoyed playing cards, quilting, knitting, and many crafts and hobbies. She was a member of the Reading Room Association. She loved her family and all extended family. Her door was always opened to all the village kids. She attended local schools and received her high school diploma along with her son, Chris, in 1991. She is survived by her husband, Ronald of Sebec; two daughters, Pamela Parsons and husband, David, of Hampden and Louisa Finnemore and husband, Daryl, of Barnard; one son, Ronald Ames Jr. and wife, Maureen, of Bowerbank; nine grandchildren, Sarah and Andrew Parsons of Hampden, Lindsey Zimmerman of Barnard, Douglas Finnemore of New Hampshire, Megan and Katherine Ames of Bowerbank, Derek Ames of Tennessee, and Brittany and Chris Ames of Barnard; one great-grandson, Jaxson Lee Zimmerman of Barnard; two sisters, Elsie Watters of Bowerbank and Gloria Stinson of Sebec; many nieces, nephews, friends; and a special friend, Barbara Zimmerman. She was predeceased by two sons, Timothy and Chris. A memorial service will be held 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, at Sebec Village Community Christian Church, with Pastor Bea Violette. After the service all are invited to gather at the Sebec Reading Room.
