Theresa Cyr Libby

LAGRANGE - Theresa (Cyr) Libby died Nov. 7, 2007, at a local Bangor nursing home, after a long illness. Theresa was born Feb. 22, 1926, in Wallagrass, the daughter of Fred B. Cyr and Marie B. Cyr. She married Richard A. Libby, Oct. 18, 1945, after he returned from World War II. They settled in Caribou and raised two sons. Theresa was a devout Catholic, was a communicant at Holy Rosary Church, Caribou, for many years and later at St. Paul's Church, Milo. She loved to sing in the choir and was an ecumenical minister at St. Paul's. She is survived by her husband, Richard A. Libby of LaGrange; a son, Donald and wife, Deborah, of LaGrange; son, Roderick and wife, Angela, of Livermore, Calif.; a granddaughter, Karen and husband, John Anderson, of Catabawa, Va.; a sister, Annette Smith of Haverhill, Mass.; along with many nieces and nephews. Theresa is predeceased by her parents; brothers, Noel, Roland, Gerald, Albrick, Louis, Lucien, Alban and Irvin; and a sister, Cecil. At the family's request, a private memorial service and celebration of Theresa's life will be held at later date.
