William Arthur Russell, JR

MILO - William Arthur Russell Jr., 61, husband of Elaine DeLaite Russell, died peacefully May 10, 2007, at his home with members of his loving family present. He was born Jan. 17, 1946, in Brownville, the son of the late William Arthur "Bea" Russell Sr. and Elsie May Lundin Russell. William was a hard-working woodsman and craftsman who dedicated his life to family and friends, all of whom he loved very much. William was always the first to extend a helping hand to those in need, and for that he will be greatly missed. He is survived by four siblings, Regina Raye and her late husband, Rex, of Sierra Vista, Ariz., Wanda Conlogue and her husband, Hazon Conlogue, of Brownville Junction, Peter Russell and his wife, Wanda Russell, of Brownville Junction, and Richard Russell of Brownville. He is also survived by a daughter, Shawna and her husband, Greg Smith, of Milo; two sons, Willy D. and Wendell, both of Milo; one stepson, Douglas Willinski and his wife, Michelle, of Brownville Junction; a special granddaughter, Lacey Russell and her fiancee, Jeremy Phelps, of Bangor; two step granddaughters, Sarah and Amber Willinski of Brownville Junction; two unofficial family members, Jarrett LaPointe of Brownville Junction, and Jessica Nason of Orono; two very special friends, Bobby McKenzie of Brownville, and Freddie Pennington of Bradford; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother, Ernest Russell; his nephew, Scott Eric Tyler; and his niece, Crystal Pennington. There will be a previously scheduled benefit supper in his honor 5-7 p.m. Saturday, May 12, at the Alumni Building, Brownville Junction. William will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
