Phyllis E. McLean

MILO - Phyllis E. (Joy) McLean, 79, wife of the late John Thomas "Tom" McLean, died unexpectedly Nov. 2, 2006, at her residence. She was born April 5, 1927, in Milo, the daughter of Perley E. and Lucinda (Sibley) Joy. Phyllis was a lifelong resident of Milo and had worked for many years at Hathaway Shirt Co. She and her husband had celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. An excellent seamstress, she was known for her collection of many dolls and for the wardrobes and accessories she crafted for the dolls. She is survived by a son, Sheldon McLean and his wife, Martha, of Lincolnville Center; a sister, Glennis Timoney of Whittier, Calif.; a granddaughter, Molly McLean of Portland, Ore.; several brothers and sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by an infant daughter; a granddaughter, Sherry; four sisters and one brother. Services will be announced in the summer of 2007. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to their favorite charity. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home, Milo.
