A. Adelaide Blowers

LANGRANGE - A. Adelaide Blowers, 83, wife of Wallace E. Blowers, died peacefully June 20, 2006, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Jan. 3, 1923, in Brewer, the daughter of Bruce and Dorothy (Stone) Mott. She was a member of the Aldworth Chapter No. 39 OES, and had recently joined the Joseph P. Chaisson Post No. 41 American Legion Auxiliary. She was a devoted homemaker and especially enjoyed having her family come to visit her. A special pleasure was watching her grandchildren and great-grand-children playing in the pool. Adelaide is survived by her beloved husband of 30 years, Wallace Blowers of LaGrange; her children, Phyllis Randall and husband, Mac, of Bradford, Barbara Turner of LaGrange, Loretta Reed and husband, Tom, of Moultonboro, N.H., Karen Lambert and husband, Frank, of Corinth, Kathy Herbest and husband, Mickey, of Milo; her stepchildren, Mike Blowers and friend, Ida, of LaGrange, Marnell Wheeler and husband, John, of Florida, Randy Blowers and wife, Michelle, of California; her brothers and sisters, Dorothy Wood of Georgia, Florence Milton and husband, Ensley, and Marge Walls, all of Delaware, Bob Mott and wife, Priscilla, of Ellsworth, Charlotte Page and husband, Gary, of Jay, Marilyn "Macy" King of Winn, Alden Mott and wife, Betty, of South Carolina; 15 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Carol King of Hampden; and long time friends, Myla Treadwell of Glenburn and Rhoda Stanley of LaGrange. She was predeceased by her first husband, William T. Long Jr.; a brother, Herbert Mott; a son, John Long; a grandson, Harold Turner Jr.; and a granddaughter, April D. Randall. Graveside funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, June 24, at the family lot in Hillcrest Cemetery, LaGrange, with Pastor Maria Guereca officiating. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home, Milo.
