Norman F. Barden

MILO - Norman F. Barden, 84, husband of the late Corrine (Pray) Barden, died Jan. 21, 2006, at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital. He was born Sept. 1, 1921, in Milo, the son of William D. and Audrey F. (Hughes) Barden. Norman served with the U.S. Army Air Corps in the Pacific during World War II. He had worked as a dairy farmer on the Brockway farm and then at the American Thread Company and at Katahdin Lumber Company. He was a member of the United Baptist Church of Milo. He is survived by a daughter, Loretta Mason and her husband, Ronald, of Bangor; a son, Michael Barden and his wife, Nancy, of Milo; a brother, Phillip Barden and his wife, Virginia, of Milo; a sister-in-law, Edna Hunt of Milo; six grandchildren, Seth Barden, Cory Barden, Cathy Schulz, Tammy MacEachern, John Mason and Jennie Asher; four great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Ina Banker and her husband, Richard. Friends are invited to call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, at the Lary Funeral Home, Milo. A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, at the United Baptist Church of Milo, with the Rev. Ernest Madden and the Rev. Rudy Homchuck officiating. Spring burial will be in the family lot in Evergreen Cemetery.
