Dewey R. Piche

ATKINSON - Dewey R. Piche, 65, husband of Alice (Gaudet) Piche died unexpectedly Sunday, Dec. 4, 2005, in Lincoln while enjoying his passion of training beagles. He was born Feb. 5, 1940, in Central Falls, R. I., son of Albert and Ella (Chamberlain) Piche. Dewey was a well-known car buyer for several dealerships, most recently retiring from O'Connor GMC in Augusta. He was a member of the Eastern Maine Beagles Club. Dewey and his son, Dale, trained beagles for hunting and field trials traveling all over New England and Quebec. He enjoyed going to his granddaughters sporting events. He was predeceased by a son, Derrick; and a brother, Albert Jr. In addition to his wife of 43 years, Alice; he is survived by his son, Dale and wife, Nicole Piche, of Lincoln; two brothers-in-law, Albert and wife, Mary Gaudet, of Pensacola, Fla.; Dr. Dwight Gaudet of Mendocino, Calif.; several nieces and nephews and a very special granddaughter, Brittany, who also traveled to many of the field trials. She will always remember her "Papa" as being her Number 1 fan.. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Atkinson.
