SILVER RIDGE - Margaret Louise (Turner) Allen, 81, died Nov. 19, 2005, in Houlton. She was born April 3, 1924, in North Bucksport, the daughter of Frederick and Frances (Eaton) Turner. Margaret married John Allen, Aug. 31, 1940. Margaret was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered. She was a member of St. Benedict's Catholic Church and St. Joseph's Sodality. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was predeceased by one son, David; two brothers, Frederick and Arthur. She is survived by eight sons, John, of LaGrange, Robert of Bradford, Garry of Charleston, Timothy of Milo, Thomas and Mark, both of Bradford, Andrew of Silver Ridge and Anthony of Milford, Conn.; seven daughters, Jean Gross of Penobscot, Rebecca Smith of Milo, Joyce Black of Bowerbank, Rosalie Gallant of Appleton, June Rush of Dexter, Joan Thibodeau and Frances Bouchard, both of Silver Ridge; two brothers, Richard Turner of Racine, Wis. and Robert Turner of Rochester, N.H.; five sisters, Jane McGowan of Ashland, Maxine Gardner of Galesburg, Ill., Elaine Drew of Columbia, Conn., Caroline Burnham of Rockland and Durena Roi of Massena, N.Y.; 71 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25, at Bowers Funeral Home, Island Falls. The Chaplet of Divine Mercy will be prayed at 3 p.m. The rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, at St. Benedict's Catholic Church, Benedicta, with Fr. Richard Malo presiding. Interment will be at St. Benedict's Cemetery.
